The Korea Association of Medical Colleges ("KAMC" or "the Association") is a corporation founded in August, 2008 by a group of leaders, who head the nations's medical colleges and medical schools. The Association is a successor to the Korean League of Deans of Medical Colleges―an organization established in 1984 to improve medical education and strengthen ties among medical colleges.
KAMC is currently engaged in such undertakings as promoting exchange and cooperation among medical colleges and medical schools, identifying and recommending ways to advance the nations's medical education system, contributing to the refinement of medical education through sharing materials to improve the quality of medical education and fostering international exchange on medical education.
KAMC will continue to hold a series of academic meetings aimed at the improvement of medical education, on its own or in collaboration with affiliated organizations, which is a key to cultivating and producing great medical doctors. Furthermore, KAMC will strive to provide opportunities to discuss various aspects of administrating medical colleges and medical schools and make policy recommendations on advanced medical education. I hope that the KAMC website will be visited actively by deans of medical colleges and medical schools whose interest lies in the administration of their institutions as well as researchers and students who would like to obtain information on medical education in general.
